Amazing, just cannot describe the experience. This far exceeded anything I could of imagined.
In 2011, when I first became a team member of ArmyBassAnglers, I never thought I would be representing them at the 2015 Bass Masters Classic, as the “Angler of the Year”. The recognition as the Angler of the Year for this organization is truly an honor. The ArmyBassAnglers is represented in 48 states and 9 countries. Receiving this honor among so many outstanding people is truly a blessing. This organization is simply awesome.
My attendance at the classic opened my eyes to the true aspects of the fishing industry. I was able to visit and work with several of the organizations sponsors. These are great companies within the fishing industry. Companies such as Biobor Fuel Additives, Skeeter Boats, Livingston Lures and Power Pole, allow us to raise funds and awareness for our non-profits; A Soldiers Child Foundation, Warrior Canine Connection, Heroes on the Water and Returning home Heroes. Our true mission is to support these non-profits, as they directly support our Armed service men and women who have given so much for the protection and freedom of our rights and liberties. My recent assignment to the ArmyBassAnglers Pro Staff has provided me another awesome opportunity. It’s not only the opportunity to be a professional angler, but more importantly it is the opportunity to bring awareness to our mission and our ability to support our sponsors on a professional stage. Some of the largest names and well known faces within the professional fishing community know our organization and stand behind us as we advance. To sit and chat with professionals such as Harold Allen, Zell Rowland, Alton Jones, and Kelly Jordon and so many others, is an honor. This can only be accomplished by being a member of our team! Our strength is in our numbers. Together we can accomplish our mission. So, lace up your boots, grab your ruck sack, and join the fight! HOOAH!
